FAI Youth Certificate Course

Hi people,

I have attended to FAI Youth Certificate Course couple of week ago. Which I find where helpful for people who want to be coach.

Course is taking 4 days. 9 in morning and finish 6 o'clock in evening. Mostly time on pitch working Defending, Attacking, Finishing.

Course fee is 300 Euro and there is no any other charges. You also get 1 year free access to  TactX software for build up drills. Which I own full access before and I didn't find useful or I cannot use. It's really hard to use. Anyway I will write another post for Tact X  :)

At the beinging of course, you put your name on the course sheet, receive little booklet for your notes and Small Side Games, course PDF presentation.

What do you need in course ?
  1.  Little notebook for taking notes and important points
  2. Your football boots or astro pitch shoes, you will be on the pitch nearly all day . Do coaching and involved to drills
  3. Water and snack, sandiwiches for your lunch ( Tea and coffee there as free)
Some class room activites and questions & answers. Then some build up activites from mentor playing with all class. All coach get to know each other. Afternoon getting on pitch and start working on Small Side Games. 1v1, 2v1, 3v1, 4v2, 5v2 and some more combination on defending. End of the day backing in class room and summarise day and every coach receive on topics for next day to put on the pitch and coaching.


First and third day, you do coaching on Small sige games withh little drills. On the fourth day, you do coaching 5v5 game with topic given. This could be good defending, attacking, combination, cross over, over laps.


After 4 day course. Mentors give you 3 topics for final assessment and date, place. Than you need lots of practice for your topics. In assesment day, they will decide which one of them. You will do coaching.
You will have 15 minute in your final assestment.

FAI Interactive Session Plan

Hi there,

All coaches try to help to kids improve and who love this game.

I was a bit busy with learning and communicating from other coaches. I also involved with Under 8 and Under 7 kids.

At the moment, looking after under 14 and Under 7 and 8 in weekend.

Anyway, I would recommend everyone to use attached file. This would be help and track yourself. What did you work and what you didn't work with kids?

Strength and Physical Conditioning Course Completed

Last  Monday has completed this course. It was very usefull and giving you really awarness of how these little exercise affect players developments.

Course cost 25 €. You can check dates and venues from FAI website.

Treasure Chest

Back Again

 Here we come back.

Just after long break. I'm starting to share documents and materials I have.

Here is the another usefull document and practice for warm up and increase kid ball ability.

Treasure Chest

This practice designed to improve the player's Speed, Agility, Balance and Co-Ordination.

Organisation 

  • Split player into 4 teams of 3 players of team
  • Place balls 10 - 15 of them in a central area, surrounded  by cones
  • Between centre and teams distance 5 metre to 10 metre. this could be change depending on your players age and availbilty
  • Each team will try collect as many as possible ball with coach signal.
  • This will keep going until all ball removed from central place
  • One player allowed each time and one ball for each time

Mini Football Games - Attackers and Defenders

Mini soccer games helps to kids to help develop them skills.This game call Attacker and Defenders. Which would help player finishing and quickness, awarness.

Couple of points, you can try implement your players after watch them while. Incrougae them to use skills on the ball for 1v1 position and make decision before defender get in place.

Goalkeeping Intro Course Completed

The one of the main person of the football game is goalkeepers and this course is designed to introduce coaches to goalkeeping techniques, skills and FUNdamental movement skills in a wellstructured, stimulating and safe environment.

Course venue was in Oscar Traynor Road Dublin 17 and there was plenty coaches attend to course.
